The first of these courses to be revised will be our CS1 course, formerly known as CS 1044, "Introduction to Programming in C." The revised CS1 will be known as CS 1705, "Introduction to Object-Oriented Development," which will be the first of a two course sequence. The main changes to this course include: Switching to Java Switching to a strong "objects-first" presentation Use of closed lab sessions in conjunction with lecture To Do Set up plans for the topic sequence, lab assignments, and programming assignments.
